2026-10-10

Hong Kong website entry

  • The website keeps its existing domain, with pages and public model resources served from Hong Kong.
  • Login, saving and sync continue to use your existing account and data. The designer keeps its usual loading method.

Filter inventory by component source

  • Filter every inventory category by QUADRO or domestic parts. Both are shown by default, with QUADRO first. Domestic classic slide images are now included, using the existing online card style.
2026-10-09

Accurate panels on sloped frames

  • Panels fit sloped frames accurately, and neighboring positions can be filled continuously. Flipping, saving and reopening preserve their position, and duplicate installation in the same position is prevented.

Compact mobile sync status

  • The designer's smaller sync status sits in the bottom-left corner, on the same row as the assembly controls for clear viewing and operation on narrow screens.

Designer loading restored

  • The designer uses its original loading entry again. The new public-resource acceleration and network monitoring are temporarily disabled. Saved designs, inventory and domestic slide features are preserved.
  • The navigation capsule is centered across pages, with icon links on phones and room for the account control on narrow screens.
  • Model Plaza now matches the community's mobile header, with navigation, logo and account control on the same top row.

IPv6 public downloads with automatic fallback

  • Builder can download public scripts and model resources over IPv6 first, then automatically return to the original site if that connection is slow or unavailable. Accounts, saving and sync continue through the original site.
  • The operations dashboard now observes IPv4, IPv6 and connection status. Missing or expired observations are clearly marked as unknown to help identify access problems.

Domestic slides and component selection

  • Switch between QUADRO and Domestic components, with counts for each source. All components from the selected source appear in one grid, and empty sources are hidden.
  • Domestic slides now include integral 60×125 and 80×145 cm, classic 60×120 and 80×160 cm, and curved 80×160 cm options. Classic and curved dimensions include the matching run-out, which is placed separately and adapts to the slide size. Click a domestic curved slide to reverse its direction.
  • Slide cards match the other component cards. On narrow screens, the color and shortcut controls adapt their width to leave room for the buttons on the right.

A more cohesive Model Plaza header

  • The Model Plaza header now shares the hero background, with a softer warm border around the navigation capsule for a more unified page.

Smaller public model downloads

  • Public model resources and Builder scripts now have smaller downloads, reducing the data needed when opening a model for the first time.

Inventory saving and Builder sync

  • Parts added from an official kit are now saved immediately, so newly added quantities remain after the inventory page is refreshed.
  • Builder now reads the signed-in account's latest inventory promptly. Quantities stay consistent after account changes, remote sync, or a Builder reload.
2026-10-08

Saving stays out of the way

  • After the model is synced, dimensions and step counts continue in the background. Cover updates and brief network interruptions no longer interrupt your work.

Platform and designer operations console

  • Administrators can view platform and designer service health, availability, API latency, and browser experience in one place. Detailed trends and incident records open on demand.
  • Independent checks inspect public access paths every minute against an internal monthly availability target of 99.9%. Periods without observations remain unknown; collection begins with this update.

An updated admin workspace

  • Desktop admin cards and tables use less padding, so more accounts are visible at once. The mobile layout is unchanged.
  • Analytics and management modules open on demand. Date changes and personal details keep the workspace in place, and failed modules can be retried individually.
  • Quick commands open management pages and current modules. Date, user, and event filters, forward and back navigation, module focus, and small-screen layouts help keep content in view.
  • Business summaries, grain transactions, and asset management provide clearer queries, confirmations, and results.
  • Visible and active time are measured more accurately for pages and the designer. Embedded designers share the parent page's timing, and visits without valid timing are identified separately.

Smoother pages and design loading

  • Saving shows design sync separately from dimensions and step counts. Failed statistics uploads are retried later, and offline saves can resume syncing.
  • Opening a saved design fetches that design first, with detailed parts loading afterward, reducing waits for other designs to sync.
  • Page content and buttons appear sooner with less layout movement. Models, images, and fonts can be reused to reduce repeated downloads.
  • Help follows the selected language. If a language download fails, returning to a loaded language or retrying still lets you open help.
  • Before publishing to the plaza, the current cover and dimensions are checked to confirm they have been saved. If statistics fail, you stay in the editor and can retry.
2026-10-07

The designer opens faster

  • The first time you open the designer, the page appears sooner. The parts list arrives with the page. Collision models, library covers, and the intro pictures load after the canvas is up.

Moving between pages no longer waits on a full reload

  • Inventory, the plaza, design, community, and the market are prepared ahead of time. Opening one shows the page directly.
2026-10-06

AI design is paused for now

  • Get a design cannot start a new plan, revise one, or render a preview for now. The page says “Tokens used up, waiting for the reset,” and Xiaomai is resting under a blanket. Plans you already have can still be opened. Post a request still works.

Saving a design finishes syncing much sooner

  • When you save in the designer, the model is stored in your account first, and the status changes to synced quickly. Measurements and the step count follow shortly after.
2026-10-05

More concise assembly instructions

  • Assembly steps are shown by level, bringing diagrams, materials and instructions together with fewer page turns. Complex regions include enlarged views and regional part quantities.
  • Tubes and panels use product images in their matching colours; accessories retain product images. Local position diagrams are shown in full to help match parts with their installation locations.

More reliable design sync across computers and phones

  • Opening a design, returning to the page or reconnecting now checks for the latest cloud version. Designs without unsaved changes update their canvas and name automatically.
  • When different devices edit the same design, local work is preserved and conflicts are shown, helping prevent an older view from overwriting a newer design.
  • Saving shows the actual cloud sync status. Offline use, sync failures and conflicts have clear messages, and sync resumes when the connection returns.

Assembly instructions by region and level

  • Assembly instructions now divide the model into regions automatically. Adjustments are saved and synced with the design. Horizontal frames at the same height within a region appear together; roof peaks and special components retain their preassembly steps, with action and completion views showing joints and the assembly order.
  • The preview and PDF use consistent lists of tubes, connectors and accessories, keeping the assembled structure visible in grey. Screws are no longer counted in the instructions, and extra fastening-check pages have been removed. Chinese, English and German PDFs are paginated by step for printing and use during assembly.
2026-10-04

Phone menus open from the top

  • On phones, the Builder's top menus now open from the top, just as on desktop. Panels appear below the menus and toolbar, keeping file actions, tools and other menus consistent across devices.

Clearer Builder menus and Xiaomai panel

  • The Builder menus now use a warm white background, clear icons and an orange highlight for the open menu. The file panel brings saving, importing, exporting and sharing together. Narrow screens switch to icons with horizontal browsing; desktop panels can move and resize, and phone panels can expand for reading.
  • Xiaomai's welcome content and contact links are clearer. Xiaohongshu cards and WeChat group codes stay fully visible, close easily and return focus to their entry. Shortcuts now work again: 1–3 changes tube length, holding 4 opens components, and tool switching, Save, Undo and Redo respond correctly. Menu arrow keys, text entry and dialogs do not accidentally operate the canvas.

Join from Xiaomai's homepage speech bubble

  • Xiaomai's speech bubble on the homepage now opens the WeChat group QR code directly, including on the first screen on phones. Select “I'm Xiaomai. Join our WeChat group.” to view the code and download the original image.

Update the WeChat group QR code in admin

  • Administrators can upload a new WeChat group QR code, preview its automatically detected code, set its expiry in Beijing time and enable or pause group invitations. Once saved, the homepage, Builder and Xiaomai use the new settings immediately. Original images and settings remain available after service updates.

Join the WeChat group

  • Open the WeChat group QR code from the homepage, Builder or Xiaomai, download the original image and share building ideas with other parents. A one-time invitation appears after saving a design or successfully exporting build instructions. Expired QR codes are hidden automatically.

More reliable saves, account switching and task status

  • Builder loads each account's designs and inventory separately. Switching models immediately after saving keeps the correct design and cover together. Older device drafts can be backed up, checked for ownership and imported.
  • Community replies and posts keep drafts across language changes and network failures. Inventory saves preserve new edits made while saving; refreshed trading maps and listings without a region are easier to use.
  • AI tasks, saved results and wheat refunds show clearer status. Confirmed refunds continue through retries and service restarts.
  • Pet saves, administrator wheat confirmations and Beijing-time statistics are more accurate. Component undo, redo and cover rendering are more stable.

Clearer part photos and easier-to-read lists

  • Part selection, inventory, trading, requests, deliveries and design materials now focus on real part images. Names, sizes and colors sit beside each image, with separate quantities that remain easy to read on phones.
  • Builder uses the same images in parts lists, inventory, shopping advice and installation hints. Saved components show previews of their actual models.
  • Exported PNG parts lists and PDF build instructions show clearer part images and preserve full names, sizes and step descriptions.

Inventory components match Builder

  • My Inventory now supports the same 92 components as Builder, including new panels, climbing nets, trampolines, aluminium tubes and textiles. Component images and Chinese, English and German names are updated together. Screws are hidden and excluded from inventory totals; existing records are preserved.

Xiaomai message notices and window controls

  • New messages and updates first appear as a notice on Xiaomai's avatar. Click the avatar to open them. The homepage and Plaza use the lower right corner, while Builder uses the upper right and avoids its toolbar. Your dragged position is remembered.
  • Chat and update windows share a warm white style and opening and closing motion. Click outside or press Esc to close them while page buttons and the Builder canvas keep working. Input, tabs and try buttons remain available inside the window.
  • An update is marked as read only when you open it. Refreshing does not prompt it again, and chat retains a manual update link. All three languages, phone touch controls and reduced motion preferences are supported.

Model details that are easier to view and build

  • Official and community model details share a warm white display area. The complete image sits beside the title, author, dimensions and part count. On phones, these appear in sequence, with long titles fully readable.
  • Image, 3D, build instructions, sharing and fullscreen controls are grouped below the image. Opening Builder is more prominent, while favorites, copying and author actions have clearer emphasis. Official brands, verified designers and community authors are easier to identify.

New accessories and easier browsing

  • Builder adds a space capsule, brick board, honeycomb board, basketball hoop, activity boards and textiles, with refreshed sensory mats and transparent parts. Accessories are grouped by mounting position and method, with larger illustrations, short names, QUADRO and extension labels, and a New badge for new components.
  • Click a valid mounting position to install directly. Inset boards offer two pairs of transparent screws on the left and right or top and bottom edges, with checks for occupied mounting intervals. Trampolines support 40×40, 40×80, 80×40 and 80×80 cm frames. Orientation, undo and older model compatibility are improved; the multidirectional wheel keeps its original mounting behavior.
  • Xiaomai introduces new parts and custom components on the homepage and in Builder. Each page shows its update notice automatically only once. Try it from the homepage to open Builder. In Builder, hold 4 to choose a custom component, then release and place it on the canvas. On phones, the notice button opens the menu directly.
  • Extensions include checks for mounting points, supports and movement clearance. Dimensions and load capacity require physical verification; model checks do not certify load capacity. Parts lists and build instructions preserve accessory sizes, and QDF export explains unsupported components.
2026-10-03

Continue building along existing tubes with arrow keys

  • In tube mode, pressing an arrow key along an existing tube moves the highlight to the adjacent connector. Press again to continue building from there. Each press follows one tube, regardless of the selected tube length, and moving the highlight leaves the design unchanged.

Updated design details and author cards

  • Official and community designs now share one detail layout, with 4:3 images, equal-height desktop columns, and more compact titles and author information.
  • An author card appears directly below the design name. Official designs show the QUADRO logo and name, verified designers show their certification and a custom-design button, and other users show their avatar and name. Inventory comparisons use actual part images for easier identification.

Custom component ring and quick setup

  • Hold 4 in the Builder, point to a component on the ring and release to use it. On phones, tap Custom components in the top bar. Six common components are ready to use, with setup in the center and cancel at the lower right.
  • The setup panel shows the ring at the top. Drag to reorder slots, or tap a slot to replace or remove it. Search below and tap a result or press Enter to add it directly. Save selected structures as your own reusable components.

Unified Plaza search and inventory matching

  • Enter a feature such as “Roof” in the Plaza search box to find the same designs as the former filter. You can also search by age, space, play activity, design name, or ID. The lower filters are now part of the search box.
  • Select “Only designs I can build with my parts” below the box to match your inventory. If you have not recorded any parts, the Plaza prompts you to set up your inventory. Searching and clearing keep your place on the page.
2026-10-02

Daily Builder trends in the admin overview

  • Two trend charts in the admin overview show Builder foreground time and functional actions for each day, with exact daily values available below. Date and internal-traffic filters apply. Days with older visits and no timing show a gap; mixed days mark the duration as recorded time only.

Plaza searches keep your place

  • The page keeps your current position when you search, choose a suggested request or clear it. Matching cards still fly into the results together, ready to browse left and right.

Spread-out Plaza cards and faster design discovery

  • The warm apricot Plaza spreads out real design cards. Featured and community designs appear on opening, with official designs completing the selection. Browsing starts once the visible images are ready while other images keep loading; paging and clearing feel smoother.
  • Common age, space and play requests in Chinese, English and German return faster. Complex requests continue to match against documented model facts. Every Plaza card now uses its ordinary cover, with featured badges preserved.

Clearer workspace navigation

  • The workspace now shows My designs, My shared designs, My requests, My design orders, My transactions and Grains in that order. It opens on My designs by default. All six entries are shown directly. All entries remain visible on phones.

Faster community and inventory pages

  • Community posts, inventory quantities and buildable models appear with the page, reducing the wait after opening it. Quantities entered during loading are preserved. Saving checks your account and the inventory version; edits made while saving remain marked as unsaved.

Plaza card images

  • The Plaza keeps every real design. Matching cards fly into the results together once their images are ready, and their complete images remain visible as you browse. Growth pools fill the vacated places with real cards still in the pool. “My first design” now shows a clear thumbnail rendered from its original model.

Growth Plaza and design discovery

  • The Plaza now displays scattered small cards by growth stage, with all four pools included in one search. Matching cards fly together into a compact overlapping row where you can browse, select, and open their details; clearing your request returns them to their original places. Describe a design in Chinese, English, or German and filter it using age, space, and documented structure. Requests that the available evidence cannot support show no matches.

Find a designer and develop your plan together

  • Designers can apply with text, work links, a QDF file or an existing model, and add public profile details later. Families can describe a request or select features to find a collaborator; other details are optional.
  • The workspace offers “My requests” and “My shared plans”. Both sides can edit and discuss the same model in Builder. Versions and delivery pages are optional; a delivery page saves a snapshot of the current model, and collaboration can continue afterwards.

Daily admin metrics and faster loading

  • The admin overview now highlights today's page views, unique visitors, new registrations, recorded actions, and active signed-in accounts. Daily charts and a detailed table bring browsing, user growth, and usage together, with date ranges and internal-traffic filtering preserved. Dashboard statistics and charts also load faster.
2026-10-01

Builder top tabs

  • The top tab bar now hides its horizontal scrollbar. When many designs are open, you can still scroll sideways to choose a tab.

Design details and author medals

  • Design details place the model beside its information, with a reading-friendly order on phones. Switch between photos, 3D and build steps, filter parts, and compare your inventory. Plaza author medals now use bronze four-point, silver five-point and gold six-point icons without a visible Designer label. Xiaomai Featured uses an orange wheat symbol without a circle.

Shared plans and member invitations

  • Create an independent shared copy of your own design or start from scratch, then invite family and designers to edit or comment together. Open shared plans from your workspace, design pages, or Builder, and manage member permissions, view links, and invitation links at any time. Changes leave your original design and Plaza plan unchanged.

Registration and usage dashboard

  • Administrators can view registration trends, active accounts, recorded actions, and user locations by date. Internal accounts can be added or removed with an audit trail and excluded from statistics. When historical records are incomplete, the dashboard shows the dates actually covered.
2026-09-30

Manage featured designs and main covers

  • Administrators can now set a design's featured status and main cover separately. Crop the existing image or upload a new one in a 4:3 frame; the Plaza card and design page then show the same cover.
2026-09-29

Plaza card labels move to the top right

  • The “Picked” and “Certified designer” labels now appear at the top right of Plaza design covers. Designs with both labels keep their order and fit narrower screens.

Keep adding tubes after importing a design

  • After importing a QDF design, you can now add tubes to available connector sockets and keep building after exporting and importing the design again.

Admin address works again

  • The admin URL now opens the correct page when entered with a trailing slash.

Clearer Builder usage data

  • The admin dashboard now shows Builder opens, active foreground time, and saves and exports within each visit. Devices linked to the administrator account are excluded.

Extension guides return at bent tube joints

  • The Builder now shows guides at bent tube joints when connectable sockets remain, making it easier to continue a design.
2026-09-28

Bent tubes can be placed on sloped joints

  • The Builder now lets you place a bent tube from a sloped joint and checks the tube's actual arc against the ground. Its far end also shows suitable directions for adding another tube.

Bent and straight tubes stay connected when rotating a two-tube connector

  • When you rotate a two-tube connector in the Builder, bent tubes now rotate with it and remain correctly connected to straight tubes at the joint.

Account settings and sign-up updated

  • Invite friends now sits between password settings and log out. Invitation links, QR codes, and referral records remain available. Sign-up asks for a username and password confirmation; the phone field can be left blank.
  • Model cards in the plaza now show the author's username directly.

No extension prompt on fully occupied corners

  • When every socket on a corner is occupied, the designer no longer suggests an extension or creates an extra tube. Connectors with an open socket can still be extended as usual.

Weekly building tip topic requests have stopped

  • Automatic weekly requests for building tip topics have stopped.

Faster replies from Xiaomai

  • Common building questions and everyday greetings can receive automatic replies sooner. Messages that need personal attention still go to a person.

Xiaomai's automatic replies are back

  • Common building and site questions can receive a prompt reply again. Messages that need further review go to a person.

Automatic replies from Xiaomai are temporarily paused

  • You can still leave Xiaomai a message as usual. Your message will be delivered, while automatic replies are temporarily paused.

Bent tubes stay intact when a sloped panel reaches the ground

  • When a sloped panel rotates to the ground through a two-tube connection, its bent tube now rotates with it, keeping the arc and both end connectors in place.

Up-to-date publishing tips in the Builder

  • After saving a design or copying its share link, the publishing tip shows the latest information.
2026-09-27

Up-to-date publishing tips in the Builder

  • After saving a design or copying its share link, the publishing tip shows the latest information.

Consistent Chinese names for six parts

  • The Chinese names for balls, rainbow strip, rainbow bridge, tube sleeve, acrylic sheet and acrylic screw are now consistent across the Builder, parts lists and other places.

Click a selected panel again to flip it in Select mode in the Builder

  • In Select mode, select a panel and click it once more: it flips to the other side of the tubes, just like a click in Panels mode, and you can undo it.
  • When you press on a selected panel, dragging only starts once the mouse moves a little, so a click in place no longer drags the panel away.

A short 20×40 textile in the Builder

  • The textiles menu has a new Short textile 20×40: its two ends wrap around two tubes 40 cm apart, and it is 20 cm long along the tubes. Once you pick it, only tubes 40 cm apart light up, and tapping tubes at the wrong distance tells you so.
  • The parts list, assembly instructions, My inventory and listings on Trade all know the short textile, and it has its own line in the parts list.
  • In a .qdf exported for the official QUADRO software, textiles now face the right way. A rectangular textile exported before used to land on the other pair of tubes in the official software; now it matches the Builder.

Arrow keys keep adding tubes after you add one with the mouse in the Builder

  • After you add a tube with the mouse, just press an arrow key and a new tube grows from the far end of that tube in that direction. No need to click a connector again.
  • If there is nowhere to attach it, you are asked to click a connector first.

The site loads faster

  • The first time you open the home page, plaza, getting-started guide or workspace, there is about half as much to download, so text and pictures show up sooner on your phone.
  • Pictures in community posts, design covers and profile photos load at the size they are shown on your screen: lists use small versions and the full-size picture loads when you open it.
  • Fonts now come from Xiaomaifang’s own server, so the site no longer waits for an outside font service and text is readable right away.
  • When you open the Builder again, the parts your browser already downloaded are reused, so the canvas appears faster.
2026-09-26

Publish to the plaza straight from “My designs”

  • Every design under “My designs” in the Builder and in your workspace now has “Publish to plaza”. The title, cover, size and components are already filled in, so you just check the confirmation card and publish. If you keep editing in the Builder afterwards, “Update the published design” swaps in the new version while the link, favorites and comments stay, and it does not count toward your publishing limit. To take it down, click “Withdraw”.
  • “Copy share link” now copies a short link. It opens the design page, where anyone can view the 3D model and the step-by-step assembly guide without signing up.
  • The free plan now lets you publish 10 designs a month instead of 3.

More accurate new-message alerts

  • When Xiaomai replies with two messages in a row, you are now notified about both, so the second one no longer slips by. The red dots for new applications on your requests and new comments in shared plans are more accurate too, and an entry added later on the same day under “Latest” in the Xiaomai window is also marked as new.

AI design is more reliable

  • AI design now has several models on standby. If one is busy or has run out for the day, the next one takes over and finishes your design, so the feature no longer goes down for hours at a time. A design may take a little longer.

The second tube on a double-tube lines up by itself

  • In the Builder, when you click the green dot on the free side of a double-tube to add the second tube, it now lines up with the first one: tubes of the same length line up at both ends; tubes of different lengths line up at the end of the first tube nearest the double-tube. If the double-tube cannot reach that far, the tube is centred on it as before.

Get a designer to design it for you

  • The top bar has a new “Get a design” entry: let the AI draft a design, or find a designer certified by Xiaomaifang. Every designer has a profile page showing what they are good at, where they work, a rough design fee, their designs and photos parents have posted.
  • Start with a request: how old your child is, how big the room is, what you would like. Send it straight to one designer, or post it to the request board so designers can apply and you pick one. Once you have sent it to a designer, you can see the contact details they chose to share.
  • When a designer accepts, the two of you get a shared plan: both of you view and edit it in the Builder at the same time, pin comments on parts, chat below it, and every version is kept so you can compare. When the designer delivers, you get the final design and step-by-step assembly instructions.
  • Once you have built the delivered design, you can post photos straight from the delivery page, and the post appears on the designer’s profile.

Designers can join

  • Apply to become a designer in the “Jobs” tab of your workspace. Once Xiaomaifang approves you, you get your own profile page. You decide which contact details to show: WeChat, Xiaohongshu, phone or email, any of them or just some.
  • The “Jobs” tab lists requests sent to you, new requests on the board, and an opening checklist; work through it and your profile is complete.

Workspace and getting-started guide

  • The five entries in the top bar are now: Model plaza, Get a design, Community, Trade and My inventory. The menu under your avatar has Workspace, Getting started, Account settings, Open Builder and Log out.
  • The new workspace brings together My designs, Requests, Shared plans, Jobs, My listings and Grains, one tab each. The old Grains page moved in whole, and old links take you there automatically.
  • The new getting-started guide has three routes: you want a climbing frame for your kids, you want to build it yourself, or you design climbing frames. Every step has a screenshot and a “Try it” button. You can find it at the top of the home page and after you sign up.
  • The old “Me” page is now Account settings and only covers your avatar, name, login methods and password.

A new home page

  • Below the top of the page there is now a pencil-drawn picture book: Xiaomai walks you from picking a design all the way to your child climbing the frame, following a dotted line as you scroll.
  • On phones, the “Sign up / Log in” button in the English and German top bar no longer covers the entry icons.

Paste pictures straight in

  • When writing a post, copy a picture somewhere else (a screenshot, an image on a web page, an image file in Finder) and press Ctrl+V or ⌘V in the text. It uploads and lands where your cursor is, just like choosing it with the “Picture” button. Copy several and they all go in; if you copied text along with the pictures, the text is pasted as usual.
  • In the feedback window, pasting a screenshot into the text box adds it as an attachment.
  • When publishing a design, paste a picture anywhere on the page to use it as the cover.

Signing up takes an email, a code and a password

  • No more picking a username, entering a phone number or typing your password twice. Enter your email, get a code, set a password, done. You get a username automatically, like “builder12345”, and can change it on your account page.
  • If you try to post, reply or save a post in the community without being logged in, the sign-up form opens right away. What you wrote stays on the page, so you can send it once you’ve signed up.

Every post has a number

  • Each post page shows its post number, and the page title includes it too.
2026-09-25

The home page headline now says Xiaomaifang

  • The big headline at the top of the home page now starts with Xiaomaifang, so searching for “Xiaomaifang” brings you here more easily.

English and German now have their own addresses

  • English is at xiaomaifang.com/en/ and German at xiaomaifang.com/de/. Switching the language changes the address too, so a shared link opens in the same language. The first time you open the home page, you land on the version that matches your browser's language.
  • Share to community in the builder's My designs now opens the posting page in the language you are using.

Shared designs open without an account

  • Every page of an exported assembly manual, the parts list and the share image now carry the design's address and a QR code; scan it to open the design's page.
  • Links to design pages, posts and official designs show the finished model, the title and a short description when shared on WeChat, WhatsApp, Facebook, X and Pinterest.
  • When someone shares a design page or an official design with you, you can spin the 3D model and page through the whole step-by-step manual without logging in. To make it your own, tap Copy to my account; if you have no account yet, it is saved for you right after you sign up.
  • Exporting the assembly manual, the parts list or the share image needs an account; after signing up you are back in the builder and the export carries on.

A page for every official design and every set

  • All 495 official designs have their own page: the finished 3D model, suitable age, footprint, height, parts list and the parts for each step of the manual, plus which sets can build it as is and which are a few parts short.
  • Each of the 17 original sets has a page listing its parts and every design it can build on its own, and another page with the designs that are only 1 to 8 parts away, showing exactly which parts to add and how many. Fabrics, roofs and other soft parts count too.
  • A new parts guide: every part's name in English, German and Chinese, its size, what it is used for, which sets include it and which designs use it.
  • Idea pages to pick a design by your child's age or by where it goes: living room, hallway, balcony or garden.
2026-09-24

A fresh look across the site

  • Every page now starts with the same kind of header: a big title, one line about the page, and the page's main button on the right, such as New post in the community or List my parts in Trade. Cards look the same everywhere.
  • Community: today's prompt is a wide card with Xiaomai building a frame beside it; posts are on the left, and boards, Active this week and Hot are on the right. “People are already building” on the home page uses the same look, with three hot posts side by side at the same size.
  • Trade: the panel next to the map first lists how many parts are for sale and wanted in each region; at the smallest region it shows the listings themselves, with a picture of the part, the price and how far away it is. The accessories wall in My inventory now shows rendered pictures of the parts.
  • The rotating banner at the top of the Model plaza is gone; to see picked designs, use the Picked filter.
  • Grains has a new look and a new grain icon. Your history is grouped by month with a total for each month; tap Show earlier entries at the bottom to go further back.
  • My account has cards in the new style, and the language picker is now a dropdown like the one in the top bar.
  • The builder now uses cream cards and orange buttons. When you switch tools, a short tip on how to use it pops up right under the toolbar and folds away after a few seconds. The bar at the bottom can Export assembly manual directly, and the icon at the top left takes you back to xiaomaifang.
  • Share to community in the builder's My designs works again: once you are logged in, every design has it.

Save as and Duplicate for your designs

  • File now has Save as (⌘⇧S, or Ctrl+Shift+S on Windows): it saves what you have open as a new design, named “… copy” for you. Saving after that goes to the new one and leaves the original untouched, handy for trying several versions of the same official model side by side.
  • Every design in My designs now has Duplicate, which makes a copy in one tap.
  • Naming a design when you save, save as or rename now happens in a box inside the builder. The name is already selected, so you can just type over it; Enter saves and Esc cancels.

The site is now fully in English and German

  • The illustrations and screenshots on the home page now come in English and German and follow the site language.
  • The community, writing a post, the sample designs on the plaza, your grain history, AI design, sign-in, sign-up and your account page are shown in the site language, and so are error messages, verification-code emails and password-reset emails.
  • These updates are written in English and German too, and Latest at the top of Xiaomai's window follows the site language.
  • On a design's page, Check my parts shows part names in the site language and now recognises the parts you already have; it used to show 0 for every part.
  • Times, Hot and Grains labels on the home page and in the community switch along with the site language, and the time of the next daily prompt is shown in your local time.

Editing an official model: joints follow the tubes

  • When you open an official model and delete a tube, delete a joint or drag a joint away, the neighbouring joints switch to the right type automatically: a 4-way that loses a tube becomes a 3-way instead of keeping an empty arm. What you see, what the parts list counts and what the exported QDF file says all match.
  • Adding a tube in a joint's free direction still gives it an extra arm. Arms left empty on purpose in the original design stay as they are.

Save as many models as you like

  • Your account used to hold at most 3 models; anything beyond that stayed only on the device you made it on. Now you can save as many as you like, all of them go to your account and open on your phone, tablet and computer.
  • Models that didn't make it into your account are saved automatically the next time you open the builder on that device, as long as its browser data is still there.

Save and New now tell you they worked

  • On a phone, opening File and tapping Save now shows “Saved”. The message used to be hidden behind the right-hand panel.
  • Tapping New shows “New blank design”.
  • In My designs, models not yet saved to your account are marked Only on this device, for example ones saved while signed out.
  • If your browser's local data was cleared, the builder pulls your account's models back automatically next time you open it. Models deleted on another device no longer leave an empty entry here.

Motion on the home page and in the builder, smoother page changes

  • When the home page opens, the headline is revealed from the bottom up, Xiaomai slides in from the right and the ribbon draws itself. As you scroll, the cards under What it does and Editor and assembly manual float up one after another; hovering a card slowly zooms its picture and sweeps a highlight across it.
  • Moving between pages on the site (home, Model plaza, Community, Trade…) keeps the top bar in place; the old content recedes and the new content rises from below. The browser's Back button plays it in reverse. Firefox doesn't support this yet and changes pages as before.
  • In the builder, parts you place drop in from above and deleted parts fade out; opening a model grows it layer by layer from the ground up while the camera moves in. Frame now flies the camera over instead of jumping.
  • The builder's right panel slides in and out, the highlight under the tools slides to the one you pick, the colour and shortcut cards on the left open and close smoothly, and the tutorial's spotlight glides from step to step.
  • If Reduce motion is turned on in your system settings, none of these animations play and pages look as before.

Swings and gym rings in the builder

  • The toolbar has a new Accessories tool with a swing and gym rings. Pick one, and a marker appears in the middle of every horizontal straight tube that is high enough off the floor; click it to hang the accessory there. Deleting the tube deletes the accessory with it; copy and paste take it along with the tube.
  • The swing and gym rings are compatible parts that are not in the official parts list. Export QDF leaves them out of the file and tells you so afterwards; saving to My designs and Export JSON keep everything.
  • Assembly and the Assembly manual now draw the add-on parts used in each step. Wheels, nets, swings and other mounted parts used to appear only in the parts list, not in the pictures.
  • In Kit advice, the box of parts that don't match the official list, the quantity of each part and the stock hints were too pale to read; they now use darker colours.

Community is in the top bar as soon as the page opens

  • When you reload a page, Community no longer pops up a moment later in the top bar and no longer pushes the items after it to the right.
  • Community always sits right after Model plaza, on the home page the same as on every other page.
  • The community, post and new-post pages load their content straight away, one wait fewer.

Xiaomai now gives you grains, and you can drag it out of the way

  • Every now and then Xiaomai gives you a handful of grains with a short note. It shows up in Xiaomai’s window as an orange grain card that scatters grains the first time you see it; tap the grain strip on the card to scatter them again. The grains go straight into your balance and show up in your history as “From Xiaomai”.
  • When Xiaomai’s window is closed, a “Xiaomai gave you N grains” note peeks out next to the avatar, so you won’t miss it.
  • You can press and drag Xiaomai’s avatar when it’s in the way. Let go and it snaps to the nearer edge, stays there next time, and the chat window opens from there.
  • Xiaomai is in the builder too, top right by default, and moves aside when you open the right-hand panel. Where you drag it in the builder is remembered separately from the other pages.
  • If you leave the builder’s tour halfway, it won’t pop up again next time, and the model library on the right won’t open by itself. To watch it again, use “Replay tour” in the File menu.

Filter the plaza by your child’s age in months

  • The plaza filter bar has a new “Child: __ months”. Enter the age and only builds your child can use now remain, with the ones whose starting age is closest listed first. Official models are filtered too, and it works in the “Official models” tab as well.
  • Once entered it’s remembered, and it grows by a month when you come back next month. Clear it with the × next to the box.
  • Every card shows a starting age such as “from 18 months” or “from 3 years”. Official models use the entry age listed on the QUADRO website; for the few without one, we take an official model of the same climbing height as reference. Open the details to see where the age comes from.
  • When publishing a design, “Who is it for” has become two fields: starting age and how old your child is. Paste a share link and the starting age is preselected from the climbing height; you can raise it but not lower it.

Parts trading now covers the US and Germany

  • The trade page follows the interface language: Chinese shows China, English shows the US, Deutsch shows Germany. Listings are kept apart per country, so you only see what people in the same country are selling and looking for.
  • Prices are in local money: renminbi in China, US dollars in the US and euros in Germany, for suggested prices, budgets and price changes alike.
  • In the US you pick a state and then type a city, with suggestions from that state; in Germany you pick a federal state and then a district. The contact field now uses the formats people use locally.
  • The map now shows the US states (Alaska and Hawaii bottom left) and the German federal states. Open a state to see its cities in the US or its districts in Germany; “Locate me” sorts by distance to your city or district.
  • Fixed: “Show contact” on map cards did nothing. One tap now shows the seller’s contact; if you’re not logged in, you’re asked to log in first.

Part menus you can recognise at a glance, easier panels and elbows

  • In the part menus at the top, the parts list and My inventory, the line icons are now pictures of the parts themselves, so the Lego panel, busy board and rainbow strap are recognisable without reading.
  • When placing panels, nets, fabric panels or toy bags, the tubes you can tap light up first; tap one and the matching opposite tube lights up. Cells that already have a panel or fabric don’t light up any more, so you no longer tap around before finding out it won’t fit.
  • The curved guide for elbows is a straight line again: tap once to place it, tap the elbow again to turn it; you get a hint when you place it.
  • Fixed: dragging a selected elbow somewhere else turned it into a short crooked tube detached from its joint; copy and paste did the same.
  • Guide lines on joints are only drawn in directions that can still take a tube, so nothing pokes out of the side of an elbow any more.

Faster compensation when an AI design doesn’t come through

  • If an AI design fails or needs more details from you, the grains are still refunded automatically. If a service problem cost you time, Xiaomaifang can now credit you extra grains directly; that credit carries the reason and shows up in your grain history.
  • Once an account has been disabled, resetting the password via “Forgot password” no longer gets you back in, just like password login.

Elbows are easier to place, and a selected elbow can be rotated

  • With an elbow picked up, the lines on the joints became arcs: the elbow you place bends the way the arc bends. Each direction first shows a single arc; point at the joint and all four ways to bend in that direction appear, and the one you point at is drawn as a translucent tube.
  • Select an elbow and press Q or E to turn it 90° around the end it’s attached to; four presses bring it back. If the other end is still attached to something, it won’t turn and you’re told to detach it first. Before, turning in that case made the elbow drop off the joint.
  • Nothing gets built below the ground any more. Adding tubes, placing elbows, moving a selection or fitting accessories are refused with a note if they would end up below the floor. Parts that are already below ground in models opened from official files are still shown.

Ball pit balls for the pools, plus a batch of compatible parts

  • The pool menu ends with ball pit balls. Tap a pool to pour them in, tap again to empty it. The parts list counts bags of 500 (1 bag for the smallest pool, 8 for the largest).
  • Panels have a new group of activity panels: Lego, honeycomb, busy board, felt, magnetic, climbing wall, plus a sensory mat, fabric pocket and sensory tub. Textiles gain a rainbow strap, rainbow bridge and padded roller; tap a tube to slide the roller on.
  • These are compatible parts, not original QUADRO parts. They are marked separately in the parts list without a price. Open an exported .qdf in the official software and they appear as plain panels and fabric, with exactly the same frame.
  • Both ends of fabric parts now wrap around the tubes; small fabrics used to be a flat sheet lying on top.

Parts hidden behind others can now be clicked

  • Looking into a closed box, the bottom panel sits behind the front one and used to be impossible to click. Placing fabric, nets or pool liners now goes by the cell the pointer is on, not the one in front.
  • Placing fabric, nets and bags works like placing panels again: tap one tube, then the opposite one; the two tubes set the direction.
  • When selecting, click the same spot again after a moment to select the part behind it; keep clicking to go deeper. A quick double click still selects the whole block; the two don’t get in each other’s way.

The Xiaohongshu card is readable now

  • Tapping “Xiaohongshu” in Xiaomai’s window now opens a small card instead of covering the whole chat.
  • The logo, name, Xiaohongshu ID and QR code on the card stay sharp at any size. Scan it in the Xiaohongshu app to find Xiaomaifang, or tap “Go to Xiaohongshu profile”.

Xiaomai’s window, redone

  • The top of the window shows Xiaomai’s avatar and three ways to get in touch. “Xiaohongshu” opens the card to scan and follow; “Email” also copies the address for you, handy on computers without a mail app.
  • A Latest updates line at the top cycles through recent changes; tap one to jump to that entry on this page.
  • The chat history is grouped by day and scrolls all the way back to your first message instead of just the last few dozen. If Xiaomai replies while you’re reading older messages, you stay where you are; a note at the bottom right shows how many are new, one tap takes you there.
  • If Xiaomai replied and you haven’t read it yet, the window opens at the “New messages” line with everything unread in view.
  • If Xiaomai replies while the window is closed, the avatar shows how many are unread, a card peeks out with the reply, and the browser tab title gets a number in front. After sending a message you can turn on browser notifications to get notified even when the page is in the background.
  • A reply you’ve read on one device won’t notify you again on your phone or another computer.
  • When a day on this page had several changes, the later ones slipped into the date column; they’re aligned now.

Write a sentence, get a new build for your child

  • The top bar has a new “AI design”. Write what you’d like to build for your child, such as “a toy cart my 3-year-old can push”, and in about a minute you get a structural design, a parts list and a build file.
  • The design page has a 3D view you can rotate. Hover over entries like “Grip area” or “Storage area” and the matching tubes and panels light up, so you can see which parts each purpose uses.
  • The parts list is compared with your recorded inventory: how many are needed, how many you own and how many are missing, with the missing rows highlighted. Different colours of the same part share one row, with colours and counts listed under the name. Screws come with tubes and panels and aren’t tracked in the inventory, so they aren’t compared.
  • Not happy with the design? Write what to change (“lower the handle by one level”, “widen the loading surface”) and a new version is made; both stay in “Recent designs” to view and download separately.
  • Once you’re happy, order renders: two overall angles plus one per functional area, set in a home with a wooden floor, delivered one by one so you don’t have to wait around.
  • Build file, parts list and all files can be downloaded at any time, and downloads cost no grains; you can also open it in the builder with one click and keep editing.
  • A design costs 2 grains, a revision 2 grains, a set of renders 3 grains. If something fails along the way (the request wasn’t understood, the structure didn’t come together, the images weren’t made), the grains are refunded and shown in your history.

Check-in now gives 5 grains a day

  • The daily check-in went from 1 grain to 5. One check-in is enough for a full round of “design + renders”.

What the AI design images are good for

  • The build in the images and the build file are the same structure: parts, colours and sizes all match. It isn’t a sketch.
  • Sizes and heights above the floor are measured from the structure. Age suitability, load, stability and whether a child fits through have not been tested with a real build; the design page marks them as to be checked. Please judge for your own child before building.

Links to posts and designs now show a preview

  • Share a link to a post or design on WeChat or Xiaohongshu and the card shows its title, summary and image instead of the same “A post · Xiaomaifang” every time. Search engines can read post text now too, so someone searching for “stuck joint” can land here.
  • Design and post pages open straight to the content without first flashing a grey placeholder.
  • A mistyped address now says “This page is gone” instead of oddly sending you back to the home page.

Reaching Xiaomai without scrolling through the chat

  • Xiaohongshu, X and email are pinned above the conversation, reachable wherever you are in the chat instead of being pushed away by new messages.
  • Xiaohongshu now points to the new Xiaomaifang profile (Xiaohongshu ID 4288511822). The chat shows a Xiaohongshu card: tap it for the profile, or scan to open the app.

Ten ready-to-use starter pieces, and a safety check

  • “Model library → Starter shapes” is now split into Basic, Play and Roof. Play has ten new pieces: railed platform, high railed platform, two-step stairs, corner stairs, slide tower, tunnel house, twin towers with bridge, climbing A-frame, swing frame and sandpit frame. Tap one to pick it up; drop it onto an existing build and it connects.
  • There’s a new “Safety” at the top right. It goes through your build point by point against QUADRO’s official safety notes: loose tube ends, panels without tubes underneath, unclosed openings above 60 cm, drops between levels, the floor this height needs, whether it must be fixed, whether it can tip over and how much space it needs around it. Each point cites the number in the notes; tap one and the parts concerned light up in the scene. It’s a reference for you and doesn’t replace an adult watching.
  • Panels have a new window panel: a frame panel with a cut-out plus an acrylic sheet, listed in the parts list as frame panel, acrylic sheet and acrylic screws.
  • Selected parts can be mirrored: M flips left–right, ⇧M front–back, relative to your current view. Copy a block, press M, then drop it to get the symmetrical other half.
  • Parts can be grouped: ⌘G to group, ⌘⇧G to ungroup. Click any part of a group to select the whole group; moving, rotating, mirroring and copying all apply to it.
  • The parts list has new “Export spreadsheet” and “Export image” buttons. The spreadsheet opens straight in Excel and, if you’ve recorded your inventory, adds “Owned” and “Missing” columns; the image includes a thumbnail of the build, so people in a group chat can see right away what to buy.

No measuring when publishing, and the plaza filters by what a build contains

  • Paste a share link when publishing and footprint and height are filled in for you. You can still change them if you measured the real footprint. Below the age field you get a suggestion based on the highest surface you can stand on.
  • The plaza has a new “Build contains” row: slide, roof, ball pool, wheels, fabric, hanging bag, reinforcement. Tap to filter, several at once if you like; you get builds that have all of them. The 400-odd official models know what they contain too and are filtered along.
  • When publishing you can tick skills trained: climbing, balance, crawling, pretend play, fine motor, up to three. The plaza can filter by them.

A build you just saved goes along when you tap “Post to community”

  • Builds saved in the builder now reach your account right away instead of after a while. Before, tapping “Post to community” straight after saving made the post page say “You haven’t saved any models in the builder yet”: the build was on your machine but hadn’t been sent yet. If you closed the page right after saving, the build stayed only on that machine.
  • “Post to community” waits until it has been sent before taking you over. If it really couldn’t be sent (for example offline), you stay where you are with a note, instead of landing in front of an empty list.
  • When picking a model on the post page and the list couldn’t be loaded, it says so and offers “Try again”, instead of always saying “You haven’t saved any models yet”.

Profile pictures, and the little figure from sign-up is yours

  • You can upload a profile picture now. Tap the circle at the top left of the account page to choose an image, or drag one onto it; tap again any time to change it. Without one you get the first character of your name, and the top bar follows suit.
  • The Xiaomai figure that kept you company while signing up now comes with you, with a number. Don’t like it? Tap “Roll another” as often as you like, and change what it wears on its head (sprout / tuft / flower crown / nothing). People who signed up earlier have one too, based on their username, and can reroll it on the account page.
  • The account page is redone: the left column is you — picture, name, Xiaomai figure, grain balance; the right column is what you can change — email, username, phone, password, log out. Grains moved out of the top-right menu, and the balance is right on the page.
  • The usage block on the account page is gone. If you run out of quota, the builder tells you when a save doesn’t fit.

A cleaner heading for the plaza’s featured section

  • The note next to “Featured” is gone; the heading keeps only Featured and “See all” on the right.
2026-09-20

A new look for the plaza’s featured builds

  • One build at a time: the cover fills the frame, with the name, number of parts, footprint and age right on the image, and the names of the previous and next builds peeking out. Swipe, or tap the name strip with thumbnails below, to switch.
  • Each build has “Open and build” and “Parts list” right there, no need to open the details first.
  • Featured covers are picked separately, so tall cabinets and low carts both fit completely in the frame without their tops or bottoms cut off.
  • With only one or two featured builds, they are shown one per row at full width instead of a lone card in the middle.

Post straight after building

  • In the builder’s “My designs”, every build has a new “Post to community”. Tap it and the build goes into the post, no need to pick what you just built all over again.
  • The model picker no longer lists deleted builds; they used to stay there and open empty.

Parts lists for builds

  • Every build can list which parts it uses and how many of each, with readable names such as Tube 35 cm, Space 3-way, Panel 40×40 cm instead of a string of codes.
  • The parts list is compared with your own recorded inventory: rows you have enough of are green, and you can count at a glance what’s missing.
  • It uses the same calculation as the list on the right of the builder, so the two never disagree. Builds saved earlier have been recalculated too, no need to open them again.
  • Parts lists can also be exported as a spreadsheet for easier shopping.
2026-09-19

The community has a showcase wall

  • Above “Show your build” there’s a new card: Xiaomai stands by a wall with today’s photos pinned up like instant prints; tap one to open that post.
  • Photos in the list are noticeably bigger. Hover and “Take a look” slides in from the right.
  • Posts without replies say 0 replies. Sorting is down to Latest and Hot.

Guide lines while building, and double tube clamps that turn to any angle

  • No more teal arrows while building. Each joint shows guide lines for the three axes: red for left–right, green for up–down, blue for front–back, matching the directions in the scene, so you see at once where a tube will go.
  • Pointing anywhere along a line counts for the whole line, no need to get right up to the joint; the line you point at lights up and extends a little.
  • Double tube connectors and clamps turn to any angle. Tap to turn 45°, drag around the tube to stop at any angle, hold Shift for 15° steps.
  • Turning works in select mode too. A clamp holding a second tube on the same tube turns along, and dragging the second tube slides it along the first, with its ends snapping onto the first.
2026-09-18

Used parts on a map

  • The used-parts section is now a map of the whole country. You see at a glance which provinces have parts and how many, and can drill down to cities and districts.
  • Filtering parts is now a two-level menu: first the category (tubes, connectors, panels), then the exact size. The number after each item is how many listings you’ll find there.
  • New Locate me. Once located, listings are sorted by distance and a pin marks where you are on the map.
  • The list on the right can be collapsed, making the map half as wide again.
  • Opening Xiaomai now shows the entrance to this page at the top, with Xiaohongshu, X and email below. If chatting in the window doesn’t suit you, reach me that way.
  • The “City” field for listings and wanted posts is now a province–city–district menu. It used to be free text, and entries like “Beijing” that only named a city couldn’t be placed on the map, so the listing didn’t show up there at all. I’ve added addresses to the listings posted before.
  • When I reply, you can tell without opening the window: Xiaomai’s avatar gets a red dot, a card peeks out with my reply, and the tab title shows the count.
  • The used-parts map opens noticeably faster. The country borders no longer wait for the listings before loading; both happen at once, and scripts and styles are cached so they don’t download again next time.
  • Fixed the flicker at the top right when reloading the home page: first some huge icons, then the lines of the account menu.

Double tube clamps turn in the builder

  • In select mode, press and hold a double tube clamp to turn it. Parts attached to the second tube turn with it, and so do the connectors.
  • The second tube can slide along the first and lines up at both ends.
2026-09-17

You can talk to Xiaomai now

  • There’s a Xiaomai at the bottom right. Stuck somewhere or missing a feature? Say so there and I’ll reply once I’ve read it.
  • Replies appear right in the same window, no waiting for email.
2026-09-16

My inventory has its own page

  • My inventory moved out of the used-parts section into the top bar. Once you’ve recorded what you have at home, the model plaza only shows builds you can make.
  • Usernames can be in Chinese when signing up. This name is also how your designs are signed on the plaza.
  • After signing up, a short guide walks you through recording your inventory and picking a build, all the way to the Builder.
